Content Indexing
Content Indexing, historically known as Free Text Indexing, provides the added functionality of capturing the machine typed content of scanned images and electronic files such as Word documents. Paramatisation, including minimum word length and the optional use of inclusion and exclusion dictionaries, allows the process to be configured to capture meaningful content that is then automatically used to index documentation for future searching and retrieval.
When retrieving, the user is then able to cross reference documental material for any purpose, for example research or a Freedom of Information request.
