The original design of WinDIP was aimed at the health sector to provide simplicity of use, value for money and huge cost savings which far outstripped investment in the application. The expertise built up in this process, particularly in data capture, archiving and retrieval, has allowed Gateway to develop WinDIP Enterprise, a solution that is designed to complement existing systems and meet virtually any Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) requirement.

WinDIP Enterprise is a highly scalable, highly functional, modular EDMS/EDRMS solution that has the scope to provide a Document Management solution for your entire organisation, not simply a Document Management application for a specific purpose. Core EDM functionality is complemented with additional modules such as Content Indexing, Workflow and Forms, different complementary interfaces such as e-WinDIP, WinDIP Express and WinDIP Briefcase, and pre-written Plug-Ins for applications such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange, Iris Exchequer, CRM, iSOFT iCM and iSOFT EDIS, to name but a few.

In addition, the application programming interface (API) provided with the WinDIP Enterprise Toolkit allows Gateway, its customers, its Partners and/or third party developers to integrate WinDIP Enterprise with any other application. Leading UK software providers such as iSOFT Plc, Tempus Software, Pegasus Software and Coldharbour Systems have made use of this API to write and continue to develop integration to provide their customers with EDMS functionality using WinDIP Enterprise.

Coupled with Gateway's services the WinDIP Enterprise product and solution is a truly excellent EDMS/EDRMS system that continues to go from strength to strength.
